Having the right demographic isn’t enough to retain sponsors or to become a sponsor. Lots of different (types of) events and sponsors have the same audience.
There are factors that are overlooked which can cause sponsorships to be unsuccessful, for example, treating the sponsorship like advertisement or donation, also not finding ways to maximize the return on the sponsorship.
