Is giving sponsors too many tickets to a renowned world class event that takes place every four years too much? It depends, if the cost per ticket is inclusive or discounted in the sponsorship package then why not give sponsors the tickets. However, do remember everything has to be done in moderation. You should be fair and consider other sponsors that may want tickets, also the general public aka the audience.

I planned events to help others. I needed money to implement the events. I self taught myself how to plan the events and secure sponsors. I am still not sure how I learned the process of seeking funding for my events is called sponsorship; so I give God the glory. Now that I've been successful planning various events and securing sponsors for each event, I am sharing the process with other professionals like yourself. Sponsorship saved me tens of thousands of dollars.
Here are few reasons for planning an event:
1. As a solution for a cause that you are passionate about. IE. Educate models and talents about different professions offered in the entertainment industry other than singing, dancing, and modeling; breast cancer awarenes; showcase talents; independence day; professional networking, etc.
Sponsors' needs are expected to change as demographics need and desire change and companies expand their brand. The one thing that doesn't change is sponsors expected something in return for their sponsorship investment; whether it's personal gratification to a tangible return. Here are some opportunities that you can offer sponsors when planning your event.

4. Sponsors give back to communities. Buying decisions become easier when a sponsor name or logo is attached to an event I believe in. I feel as though I am contributing to that event's cause by shopping with that sponsor, and guess what, I am!
3. It is built on helping each other - trading value for value. Sponsor cover the cost for things that the event needs (example: venue, performers, decorations) in exchange for receiving various benefits (example: exposure to a pure demographic or cross culture).
While some may view sponsorship as begging the sponsor for mercy :-) , others are utilizing sponsorship as a method to achieve their goals. Think about it this way, your event may be the solution that a sponsor needs to a problem they have. It can be the answer that could introduce their product to an audience overseas or connect them with your local and growing group. By not asking for sponsorship you may be sitting on a solution that can help a sponsor and yourself.
I've heard the terms advertisement, sponsorship, and endorsement used interchangeably to mean the same thing. However I find the roles to be different. Sponsorship does not target a mass audience who may share 1 thing in common (ie, music, sport) or does not attach their brand to an image (celebrity).
It is very crucial that you give back to companies that sponsor your events, groups, benefits, communities, and other events you and your loves ones care about. Your support motivates companies to continue becoming sponsors and let them know that you see them. Although I believe all should, remember companies don't have to become sponsors. Here are 5 ways you can support sponsors.
1. Tell friends and family about the good things the sponsors have done; like supporting your event or a cause you care about.
